Tussah silk weaving is a traditional craft of Cao Bat village (Nam Cao commune, Kien Xuong district, Thai Binh province). According to locals, the Nam Cao tussah silk weaving craft was established more than 400 years ago. Initially, tussah fabric was used to tailor clothes for local people and for use in festivals.Tussar silk is valued for its rich texture and natural, deep-gold colour, and varieties are produced in many countries.
